KeyHub Locksmith is a mobile car locksmith service. We come to your vehicle to unlock it, make a new key, program a fob or fix an ignition, and we answer the phone 24/7, every day of the year.
Tell us what happened and what you drive. We'll tell you which service you need and the exact price before a technician heads your way.
Call us to describe the problem and get your price.

An automotive locksmith works on the locks, keys and key electronics of a vehicle. That covers more than opening a locked door. A car locksmith can cut a key from a code or the lock, program a transponder chip or smart key to the car, and repair the ignition cylinder the key turns.
All of this happens where the car is parked. You don't need a tow truck to get to us, and in most cases you don't need to bring the car anywhere at all.
The sections below give a short overview of each car service we offer. Each one links to a page with the full details.

The key is inside the car, in the trunk, or the car is running with the doors locked. We open the vehicle without damage where possible and get you back to your key. If a child or a pet is locked inside, call 911 first. Read more about our car lockout service.

Your key is broken, worn out, has stopped working, or one of your keys is missing while another still works. We make and program a new key that matches your vehicle's key system. See how car key replacement works.

You have no working key left. In many cases we can make a new key at the vehicle without the original, depending on the make, model, year and key type. The all keys lost page explains what we need from you and what to ask about the lost keys.
You still have a working key and want a second one. With an original to copy from, the job has fewer steps than making a key after the last one is gone. Learn more about making a spare car key.
Remotes, smart keys and push-to-start fobs only work after they are programmed to the car. We replace and program fobs and can sometimes program a fob you bought yourself if it is compatible. Details are on the key fob programming page.
The key won't turn, sticks, or broke off in the ignition. We repair or replace the ignition cylinder, depending on its condition. Read about ignition repair.
Use this table to find the right page. If your problem doesn't fit any row, call us and describe it. We'll sort it out on the phone.
Not sure which row is yours? Call us and we'll match the service to your car.

Year, make, model, what happened, and where the vehicle is parked.

From those details we work out whether the car needs opening, a cut key, a programmed key or fob, or ignition work.
You decide before anyone is sent.

The technician brings the equipment the job needs, so in most cases the work is done where the car is parked.

Doors, remote buttons, start and ignition are checked with you at the car.
The more of this you have, the more precise the quote and the better the technician is prepared.
You get your exact price over the phone before we send a technician. That price doesn't change when we arrive. We don't publish a price list because the cost of car locksmith work depends on the vehicle and the job.

Opening a car is a different job from originating a key or rebuilding an ignition.

A plain cut key, a transponder key and a proximity smart key each need different parts and equipment.

Copying from a working key is simpler than making the first key with nothing to copy from.
Some vehicles need extra programming steps or specific key blanks.
A fob you already bought may change the job if it is compatible.
Mobile service price may depend on your city and distance, and it is already included in the quote you get by phone.
A technician reaches you in 15–20 minutes. That is realistic because our technicians are based in different parts of the service area rather than starting from one shop, and we have offices in Kirkland, Lynnwood and Tacoma, so the call goes to whoever is closest to your car. We come to you, so most customers never need to visit us. Our offices are open if you prefer to stop by. We also answer around the clock. If the car is locked with the key inside right now, go straight to the car lockout page or call.

No city found. Call us: we may still cover your area.

A car locksmith has the key blanks, cutting machines and programming tools that vehicle keys need. Home locks work on mechanical keys alone, while most cars built in recent decades also need a chip or fob paired to the car's computer. KeyHub does both kinds of work; for home locks see our residential locksmith page.
Yes. We work at homes, workplaces, parking lots, garages and roadsides across our service area, so you don't need to tow or drive the car to us. Tell us the address or a nearby landmark when you call.
Describe what happens when you try to unlock or start the car: whether the buttons work, whether the key turns, and what the dashboard shows. From that and the year, make and model, we can usually tell on the phone which service you need, and you get the exact price before anyone is sent.
Yes, if the vehicle allows. For example, we can open a locked car and then make a new key, or replace a key and program a spare at the same time. Mention everything you need when you call so the quote covers it.
No. The price we give on the phone is the price you pay. That's why we ask for the vehicle details and the situation first.
Usually not, but it depends on the key system. Some newer or less common models need specific equipment or parts. Give us the year, make, model and, if possible, the VIN, and we'll confirm before dispatch.
Call with your year, make and model, what happened, and where the car is. We'll name the service, give you the exact price, and send the closest technician.
